HLR
Home Location Register

Overview

Home Location Register (HLR) is the main database of subscriber information and is an integral system which enables the mobile network to provide mobile telephony service.

HLR contains user information including location, profiles, registered value added services, and account status and provides basic functions such as current location and appropriate value added services when a user initiates a call.

ELUON HLR supports CDMA, GSM, and WCDMA networks, including SIGTRAN as well as the legacy TDM SS7 protocols. The HLR complies with related standards such as IS-41, 3GPP, and UMTS and supports system level redundancy in order to provide seamless mobile services. Additionally, ELUON HLR supports multiple-redundancy of process modules so as to provide high availability in software level. Since 1998, ELUON has provided HLR to domestic mobile operators and has operated and managed the system in a stable manner.
